Aloo Gobi is a traditional dish in which potatoes (aloo) and cauliflower (gobi) are cooked in an onion-tomato masala (or simply, curry).

Your typical Aloo Gobi consists of all the usual suspects – onions, tomatoes, ginger, garlic, green chili pepper, spices, the works.


•1/2kg cauliflower, 2 medium size potatoes
• 1tbsp oil
• 1/2 tsp fenugreek seeds

• 1/2tsp cumin seeds

• 1/2tsp garam masala

• 1/2cup tomatoes,1 onion

• 1/2 tsp turmeric powder

• 1tsp red pepper powder

• 1tsp coriander powder

• Salt to taste

• 1tsp ginger garlic paste

• Coriander leaves

How to cook

Heat the pot and add fenugreek seeds, cumin seeds and onions saute it till golden brown now add ginger garlic paste,turmeric powder, Coriander powder and red pepper powder add a little water and cook until the oil separates.

Now add cauliflower and potatoes ,give a nice mix add tomatoes and mix.

Close the lid and cook for 20 minutes on minimum flame if needed add some water according to your add coriander leaves and garam masala in it close the lid for 1 minute, serve hot.
