Egg hot dog

I like a morning breakfast sandwich, but I was bored one day and I m in hurry too for making breakfast for my husband. Luckily I had leftover hot dog buns, and some eggs so the egg hot dog was born.

Why is hot dog called hotdog?

The German immigrants brought not just sausages but also dachshunds when they came to the United States. The name ‘hot dog’ possibly began as a joke about their thin, long and small dogs. The Germans called their dish ‘dachshund sausages’ or ‘little dog’, thus connecting the term ‘dog’ to the hot dog.

INGREDIENTS

¼ teaspoon butter/oil/ghee

2 eggs, red pepper,

1 hot dog bun

Mustard sauce or mayonnaise,salt to taste and tomato ketchup

How to cook

Melt butter/ghee/oil in a pan over medium heat.beat the egg and add some red pepper and salt to it. Add egg to melted butter spread it all over the pan and cook until egg starts to bubble, about 1 minute on low flame. Flip egg and cook until set, a couple of minutes more than roll the eggs. Apply some butter to the hot dog bun and toast it lightly then place the rolled egg in the hot dog bun, and top with ketchup, sauce, and mayonnaise.

Tips:you can add cheese mustard sauce or sausage as per your convenience, it’s one of the easiest breakfast recipes I have ever tried.
