Potato Pea Cabbage curry / Cabbage Recipe

This cabbage curry is an excellent choice when you want to make a healthy meal without much fuss. This gluten-free dish is easy to make.

This cabbage curry is perfect in terms of flavor, crunch and taste. It is minimally spiced without overpowering spicy flavors. This dish is versatile and you can play around with your favorite veggies and spices too.


• 1/2kg cabbage

• 1/2 tsp fenugreek seeds

• 1/2tsp cumin seeds

• 1/2tsp garam masala

• Onion (medium size)

• 2tbsp oil

• 1/2cup tomatoes

• 1/2 tsp turmeric powder

• 1tsp red pepper powder

• 2 potatoes

• Salt to taste

• 1cup peas

• 1tsp ginger garlic paste

• 1tsp green chillies

• Coriander leaves

How to cook

Heat oil in a pot, add fenugreek seeds and cumin seeds make them splutter. Now add ginger garlic paste, saute it for 3 to 5 minutes. Now add turmuric powder and red pepper powder in it.

Give a nice mix and add dal add 1/2 cup water and salt cook gor 10 to 15 minutes on low flame until the oil separates.

Now add tomatoes and cabbage,peas potatoes and tomatoes.

Mix it well now add green chillies , close the lid. Cook it for 20 min on minimum flame. Check the tenderness of potatoes and cabbage. If it is cooked properly turn off the flame. Add 1/2 tsp of garam masala and garnish with coriander.
